It appears that low-quality "predatory publishers" are now using the well-known and trusted Editorial Manager software to try to make themselves appear more like legitimate scientific publications. So far, the company that runs Editorial Manager is effectively supporting this practice by declining to exercise due diligence in their business partnerships.
